Assembly with former students

At Cambridge House Community College, the English language school in Valencia, we are very proud of the progress of our students, but also of course of the successes of our former students. Last Friday 19th November we were lucky enough to have two very special guests at the Year 3 and Year 4 Assembly. We are talking about two former pupils of the school, Lara Rocafort and Violeta Herranz, who visited us to present their book “NATURA RESCATA CENICIENTA”.

Lara Rocafort has a degree in Law and a Master in Law and another in Law and Gender Violence, which led her to write this story. Violeta Herranz, the illustrator, has studied audiovisual communication and production. She has been a partner and friend of Lara since she was 3 years old.

During the assembly Lara has been explaining what happens in the story and the message that the story wants to convey. A story to change the world, to make dreams come true and reality surpass the dream. We couldn’t be prouder of them!

One of the contributions that has most impacted Lara has been that of Adelina Pérez-Boada. The student has been able to perfectly interpret the message of the story and Lara has awarded her with a dedicated copy.

“I loved the assembly on Friday and I was very nervous when Lara came into my class and gave me the book, because I was going to buy it that afternoon. During Golden Time I read the whole book and understood the meaning of the dedication. I came home excited and told my parents all about it. I stayed with the story all weekend and what I liked the most was being able to talk to Lara on the phone for an hour… and I would have kept going, but of course she had to study”.
