Thanks to our Biohouse students can learn to understand, enjoy and respect animals.
I ‘m Paula Borrás, the director of our school’s Biohouse.
It is a pleasure to be able to transmit to all our students my knowledge and understanding of our animals, teaching them values which compliment their curricular education
It is a project that started more than 30 years ago with our first school, in which we had our first animal species.
Nowadays we have a large space and the animals have their own area to enjoy freely.Among these species we can see African goats, guinea pigs, land turtles, rabbits,an aquarium, hens, sea turtles and various species of birds and gerbils.
What does Biohouse give to our students?
Until now, the participation of our students in Biohouse has been phenomenal.
From nursery on they have the opportunity to feed, clean, play and look after our animals, always under my supervision and that of the secondary school volunteers, whom in this way stay connected to our Biohouse.
We also recieve regular visits from our vet, who is in charge of the vaccination, deworming and care the animals need, guaranteeing a natural but secure environment for our students.
